What we do

Growing flowers isn’t just about processes and steps - coaxing dormant seeds into vibrant plants, removing unwanted plants from straight-lined beds, carefully trellising and manicuring wild greenery, harvesting blooms, bundling, hanging, drying, over and over again.

It’s about stewardship. It’s about communion, connection, coexistence. Flower farming is letting loose the wilds of our hearts upon the land and holding space for the gifts she offers back to us.

MEET US AT THE COMMON GROUND COUNTRY FAIR

THe Common Ground Country Fair IS held EACH YEAR at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine. MOFGA’s annual celebration of rural living features 1000-plus exhibitors and speakers, and emphasizes vibrant communities, sustainable living and local economies, while highlighting organic agriculture.

How we do it

Everything we grow, everything we tend, harvest, bundle, and bunch moves through the hands of the people you meet. The people who cherish and mourn each and every plant and moment of birth and death in the field.

We use sustainable practices that give back to the land what she offers to us. We build the soil with nutrient-dense amendments like leaves and wood chips, supplementing empty beds with cover crops. We practice no-till methods in our farming. We encourage you to read more in our story about how we steward the land.
